Single-vehicle rollover in St. John's sends one person to hospital Sunday night

A young girl was taken to hospital following a single-vehicle rollover on Portugal Cove Road Sunday night.

The incident happened about 200 metres past the entrance to St. John’s airport towards Portugal Cove and saw the SUV leave the road and roll over into nearby trees about 25 metres from where it went off.

The vehicle was extensively damaged.

The injuries were not considered serious.
