St. Johns, N.L. — Just before the Friday evening rush hour began, around 4 p.m., the RNC stopped a driver who was blazing along the Outer Ring Road at 160km/h.

The man was issued a traffic ticket for speeding more than 50 km/hr above the legal limit and his licence was suspended for three days.

The driver’s vehicle was also impounded.
