The deadline for the City of St. John’s grants and subsidies program is in a month’s time.

Coun. Sandy Hickman raised the upcoming deadline during the city council meeting Monday night, encouraging potential applicants to be mindful of the date.

“I think it’s one of the most important things we do, is supporting these third-party groups and individuals,” he said, before Coun. Jamie Korab echoed the sentiment and reminder.

The grants are issued in various categories, including non-profit programs and services, non-profit events and festivals, non-profit sports organizations, youth travel (for sports and otherwise), artists and arts organizations, and community groups.

The deadline for applications is Nov. 30 at 4 p.m.
