ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — At the regular Monday council meeting, council unanimously approved a discretionary use application for an additional lounge area and a recreation facility liquor licence at Plaza Bowl.

The Ropewalk Lane bowling alley already has a lounge, but this approval is for an additional lounge as well as the ability to allow liquor to be served in the bowling area.

The additional lounge will occupy a floor area of 46.15 square metres. Hours of operation will be 12 p.m. to 1 a.m. daily, with one employee.

Councillors Sandy Hickman, Debbie Hanlon and Ian Froude were absent from the meeting, and therefore were not part of the unanimous vote.
