St. John's man facing weapons, drugs charges

A 43-year-old St. John's man is facing a host of weapons and drug charges following his arrest in the centre area of St. John's on Monday morning.
The RNC were acting on a report of a weapons offence around 10:20 a.m. Sunday morning.
They arrested the man for unauthorized possession of a firearm, having a firearm in his vehicle, possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm which he knew to be prohibited, unsafe storage of a firearm, three breaches of court orders and resisting arrest.
A subsequent find in the investigation found the man to have a quantity of drugs, money and various additional weapons in his possession that were seized.
He was taken to lockup and held for court. His vehicle was also impounded.
The RNC received 191 calls for service during its overnight reporting period.
