ST. LAWRENCE, N.L.

The St. Lawrence Lions Club and St. Lawrence Community Youth Network (CYN) in partnership with the Town of St. Lawrence and the St. Lawrence Volunteer Fire Department once again kicked off the Christmas season with a parade through town Saturday, Dec. 1.

It was a cold, crisp, sunny day for the parade which allowed many participants to walk in the parade and children stood along the streets to see the Jolly Old Elf himself. The parade was led by the RCMP and the St. Lawrence Fire Department.

Following the parade Santa happily greeted the children and handed out treats to all. CYN were busy preparing hot chocolate to warm everyone.

The CYN held their turkey raffle during the tree lighting ceremony.

Tree of memory pledges were also collected by CYN from anyone wishing to purchase bulbs in memory of loved ones.
