RNC Supt. Jason Sheppard, head of the force's Criminal Investigation Division, addressed members of the media this evening at police headquarters, providing a complicated timeline of events and key items they are hoping to find with the public's assistance.

"While we are not releasing the cause of death, I will confirm that when (Miller) was located it was evident that he had sustained multiple stab wounds," Sheppard said.

Sheppard said police have established suspects in the case.

"Since the onset of this invesgtaion, we have invterviewed a large number of witnesses and we have established suspects in this case but we are not going to be making any further comment on that at this time," he said.

Miller was kidnapped from his Seal Cove home around 5 am Saturday by at least three masked, armed individuals who are believed to have then set the home on fire. His body was found in a driveway in Bayview Heights four hours later. Police say the area was a random spot and has no connection to the crime.

During the time Miller was missing, a second man was found stabbed and unconscious in the Trails End area of Paradise. Witnesses say he was tied up, though police will not confirm this. He remains in hospital with serious injuries. Police are investigating this stabbing as a separate incident, but believe it may be connected to the murder.

Monday evening, police recovered a burned gray 2005 Dodge Caravan on the Foxtrap Access Road, which they believe is connected to Miller's murder.

Among the items for which police are appealing to the public:

- Any video or information of any pedestrian or vehicle traffic or suspicious activity in the Bayview Heights area of Kelligrews between 4 and 8:30 am Saturday.

- Businesses that sold a yellow fuel container prior to Saturday or anyone who has recently had a yellow fuel container stolen. Police believe a yellow gas container was involved in the arson of Miller's Seal Cove home after he was kidnapped.

- Anyone who saw a 2005 Gray Dodge Caravan that was found burned on the Foxtrap Access Road in the area across from Gull Pond Monday evening. Police are looking to establish when the van arrived in the area.

- Video of traffic in the area of the Foxtrap Access Road between 3 and 6 am Saturday.

- Any video or information about a 2005 Gray Dodge Caravan or a 2013 Red Honda Civic (two-door model) in the C.B.S., Paradise or centre of St. John's areas between 6 pm Friday and 6 am Saturday.

- Any video or information about suspicious activity or movement in the Trails End area of Paradise between 4:30 and 5:30am Saturday.

- Any information or video of suspicious activity or movement in the Roberts Heights area of Paradise between 11am and 3pm Saturday. Police say a related fire happened here at 1:30 p.m. They are not saying what was burned, though it wasn't a vehicle.

Police have set up a dedicated tip line  for information related to Miller's death: 729-8800.
