HAPPY VALLEY-GOOSE BAY, N.L. — A 47-year-old man is dead after being found unconscious in a wooded area in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. RCMP said they got a call at about 8:30 p.m. on May 14 regarding an unresponsive male and despite multiple attempts to revive the man, paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

RCMP said they have engaged the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and the investigation is continuing.

This is the second sudden death in a wooded area of the town in the last year, with 23-year-old Tama Bennett found dead in November. Her cause of death was ruled undetermined and the case is ongoing.
