Suspended driver caught in St. John’s driving rental truck with hatch open; owed $18,000 in fines

St. Johns, N.L. — Friday morning shortly after 9 oclock the RNC stopped a rental truck on Kenmount Road after officers noticed the rear hatch was wide open.

They discovered that the 39-year-old male driver was suspended from driving and owed in excess of $18,000 in outstanding fines.

The man was held for a court appearance in the afternoon and the truck was released back to the rental company.
