A vehicle fire destroyed a pickup in St. John’s Thursday night.
The fire was reported just before 9 p.m. on Whiteway Street when a someone apparently spotted the truck on fire in a next-door neighbour’s driveway. The person alerted the homeowners but by the time St. John’s Regional Fire Fighters arrived on scene, the pickup was engulfed in flames.
Firefighters made quick work of the blaze but it was too late to save the vehicle.
Reports from the scene indicate the fire is suspicious.
The RNC is investigating the incident.
