Teddy didn't hit Newfoundland as hard as it might have done, but made waves nevertheless

Roland Kettle of Port aux Basques sent along some pics showing that even in a downgraded state, a storm is still a storm

CHANNEL-PORT AUX BASQUES, N.L. —

Thankfully, Teddy didn’t deliver the wallop To Newfoundland and Labrador it might have packed had it tracked differently or retained more of the strength it had developed as a hurricane before downgrading to a post-tropical storm.

Nevertheless, there was still a lot of might to Teddy, and that was especially evident in the southwest corner of the province as shown in these photos taken Wednesday evening and sent from Roland Kettle of Port aux Basques to Telegram reporter Diane Crocker.
