Do you have clothing and small household items taking up space in your home? Would you like to get your space back while helping your community?

Take Two is partnering up with UPS and The Telegram to bring the entire A1E community the first-ever annual donation drive.

Take Two is a non-profit organization that collects used clothing and small household items, and then resells them at an affordable price. All proceeds support Empower, The Disability Resource Centre. Like many not-for-profit organizations, Empower says it sees social enterprise as a way of developing financial stability for the organization and also employ people with disabilities.

“The store is clean, accessible, boutique style and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful,” Empower’s executive director Kimberly Yetman Dawson said in a news release

On Oct. 20th, UPS will be driving around the A1E area starting at 10 a.m., collecting donations placed at the end of the driveways.

If you do not live in the A1E area, the store always accepts donations at 38 Ropewalk Lane.

You can also drop your donations off at UPS at 50 Hamlyn Ave. or The Telegram at 36 Austin St. during weekday business hours.

Take Two Gently in the Ropewalk Lane Plaza is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Tuesday through Sunday. You can find them on Facebook, at www.taketwonl.ca, or reach them at 237-2222.
