Colin Fewer joined some elite company in Tely 10 history, winning his sixth straight 10-mile road race in the 83rd running of the event Sunday morning.

Along the way, Fewer finally eclipsed the 50-minute mark, becoming only the third runner to go under 50, joining Paul McCloy and Harold St. Croix.

Only five runners have now won six straight Tely 10 titles - Fewer, Don Coaker, George Hillier, Pay Kelly and Cliff Stone.

Sunday's race also saw a new female winner, as Kate Vaughan snapped Lisa Harvey's string of four consecutive championships.

Harvey, who was hobbled by a leg injury, was going after a record five straight titles and six overall, which would have been a new record. She's currently tied with Noeleen Wadden for the most Tely 10 women's victories.
