One woman was taken to hospital Wednesday night following a three-vehicle accident on the Trans-Canada highway near the Irving gas station west of Pitts Memorial Drive.
The incident occurred when a disabled car was struck by another oncoming car, causing extensive damage to both vehicles. A third car then went off the road as the driver apparently tried to avoid the first collision. It’s unknown if that car struck any of the first two involved in the original incident.
High winds were causing localized drifting in the area at the time.
The injuries were not considered serious.
