The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says it believes three commercial breaks and entries that occurred in the early morning hours of Friday, Nov. 16 are all connected.

Police believe two to three individuals were involved in the three break and entries.

The crime spree is alleged to have started at a home on Jubilee Place in Mount Pearl where a Chevrolet Orlando was stolen.

Near 2:30 a.m., security footage from the Marie’s Mini Mart on Kiwanis Street near Kelsey Drive in St. John's shows the stolen vehicle being drive through the storefront. The suspects caused significant property damage as they gained entry, but they left the area empty-handed.

About an hour later, RNC officers were called to JMD Convenience in Conception Bay South where they believe the same suspects used the same vehicle to drive through the store’s front doors. The suspects made off with an undisclosed amount of tobacco products.

The RNC believe the suspects’ night came to a close with a break and enter at the Shoe Company on Stavanger Drive where tools were used to gain access and steal merchandise.

The stolen vehicle was recovered in the west end of St. John’s later in the morning.

Anyone with information on any of these break and entries is asked to call the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can now provide information anonymously on the NL Crime Stoppers Website at nlcrimestoppers.com.
