Extrication tools were needed to free one of three people who were eventually taken to hospital following a two-vehicle collision in St. John’s Wednesday night.

The crash happened at the intersection of Bruce Street and Kenmount Road and left both vehicles with extensive damage.

The door of one car had to be cut off before the female passenger of that vehicle could be placed on a stretcher and taken away by ambulance.

Another male was treated as he sat on the pavement near the crash, but he was eventually able to walk to an ambulance.

It was dark and raining at the time of the incident.

None of the injuries was thought to be serious.

The RNC is investigating
