GRAND FALLS-WINDSOR, NL – Central Health has put total visitor precautions in place on Unit 3A at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor effective immediately.
In a public service announcement Thursday, Feb. 15, the health authority said the restrictions are due to cases of gastrointestinal illness.
No visitors are permitted at this time with the exception of family members visiting palliative care patients.
Central Health is reminding visitors to any of its facilities to wash their hands after arriving and before leaving the facility.
As well, anyone experiencing any symptoms of gastrointestinal illness is asked to delay visiting Central Health’s facilities until at least 48 hours after they have subsided.
