A jackknifed tractor trailer is blocking the westbound lane of the Trans-Canada highway at the Holyrood overpass say the RCMP.

The incident happened at about 7:30 p.m. and traffic is being rerouted around the incident using the off-ramps.

There were no injuries in the incident which saw the transport truck leave the eastbound lane, cross over into the westbound lane and leaving part of the truck hanging over the overpass.

The truck is apparently carrying insulation.

The RCMP say it may be another two hours before the truck is removed.
