Two men arrested after police seize cocaine from St. John's home

ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — Two men were arrested in St. John's after police followed up on a tip that resulted in a cocaine seizure.

According to an RCMP news release, police received a tip last Friday about a suspicious package. Officers from the RCMP Federal Serious and Organized Crime Unit obtained a warrant and searched a St. John's residence Monday, Feb. 24, where they seized one kilogram of cocaine.

Joel Power, 31, of St. John’s and Isaac Davis-Power, 24, of Conception Bay South were arrested and charged with trafficking in cocaine and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. Both men were released from custody and are set to appear in court April 16. The police investigation remains active according to the news release.
