According to a Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) report, police charged two men with impaired driving in the St. John’s metro area Saturday night and early Sunday morning in two separate incidents.

Around 8:30 p.m., the report says police stopped a driver on Logy Bay Road. The 57-year-old man was charged with impaired driving, and was released to appear in court at a later date. His vehicle was impounded.

Then shortly after midnight, police arrested a 24-year-old man in a second, separate incident. The RNC report says police received a tip about a possible impaired driver. Police stopped the man in the east end of St. John’s where he was charged with impaired driving. He was released to appear in court at a later date, and his vehicle was impounded.
