ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — Two men were custody overnight after the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary responded to separate calls in St. John’s.
The first incident was Tuesday afternoon in a downtown area of the city, where Operational Patrol Service members responded to a report of a disturbance. As a result, a 29-year-old was held for court, where he’s expected to face a number of weapons-related charges, including assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and carrying a concealed weapon.
Early Wednesday morning, the RNC answered a call about an assault in the centre of the city. That investigation resulted in a 22-year old male was charged with assault with a weapon, mischief and uttering threats. He was held for a morning court appearance.
