ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — Another two pedestrians were taken to hospital following yet another vehicle-pedestrian collision just before 10 p.m. Monday night.

The incident happened on Ropewalk Lane in St. John’s when a man was apparently struck by a pickup and then thrown into his female companion.

Both victims were taken to hospital in separate ambulances with injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening.

These were the fifth and sixth pedestrians - that The Telegram is aware of - injured by vehicles in the metro St. John’s area since Saturday night.

Two of the pedestrians from the Saturday incidents received serious injuries.

The RNC is investigating.
