St. John’s, N.L. — Two drivers had their vehicles taken by the RNC after traffic stops in St. John’s Friday. One of them turned out to be wanted by the police on other matters.

Around 11:30 a.m. police pulled over a man in the area of the south side of St. John’s. The 57-year-old driver was issued summary offence tickets for operating with an expired licence, no insurance and failing to transfer ownership. The vehicle was impounded.

Shortly before midnight, a woman was stopped on Columbus Drive.

The 25-year-old driver was issued tickets for no insurance and failing to transfer ownership.

Police also determined there was an outstanding warrant for her arrest.
