A Stephenville Crossing man and another man from Port aux Basques won’t be driving for a little while after their vehicles were seized last weekend.
On Feb. 26 the Bay St. George RCMP conducted a traffic stop on Brook Street in Stephenville Crossing at 3:15 p.m.
The 32-year-old driver from the town was found to be driving with a suspended licence and was issued a ticket, the RCMP stated in a news release.
On Feb. 28, police patrolling near Flat Bay Brook observed a vehicle travelling at more than 151 km/h per hour on the Trans-Canada Highway. Police stopped the vehicle and the driver, a 56-year-old Port aux Basques man, was issued a driver’s licence suspension.
Both vehicles were impounded.
