ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — It appears an apparent standoff on Wigmore Crt in St. John's this morning has ended. 

All but a few of the many Royal Newfoundland Constabulary officers on the scene have left the area. An Eastern Health ambulance remains on the scene and has been moved towards Building 12 where a standoff is alleged to have occurred.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary have a dispatched a large number of vehicles and officers to a scene on Wigmore Court in St. John's this morning.

Officers on the scene are not divulging the reason for their significant response, but unconfirmed reports suggest a man has barricaded himself in Building 12 of the townhouse subdivision.

There are at least seven RNC vehicles on the scene and one Eastern Health ambulance on standby.

At this time there are disruptions to traffic on Thorburn Road.
