Moore's Ambulance Service employees voted 95 per cent in favour of ratifying an agreement negotiated by the company and the union representing them.
The vote was held Wednesday, Nov. 21, the same day the two sides reached a tentative agreement.

After working for over a year without a contract, it appears operators for Moore’s Ambulance Service are on the verge of getting a new deal.
Charlie Smallwood, a spokesman for the Operating Engineers Local 904, told The Compass a tentative deal was reached between the employer and the union Wednesday morning, Nov. 21. He said union leadership is recommending that workers accept the deal.
Last Friday, Nov. 14, members voted 91 per cent in favour of a strike. Local 904 represents 19 employees of the private ambulance company, which serves the Conception Bay North area.
According to Smallwood, there were a number of issues workers were looking to address with a new deal, including retroactive overtime wages and shift scheduling, among other matters. He added those issues have been addressed in the new tentative deal reached Wednesday.
“We’ve got that fixed and we’re good to go,” Smallwood said.
The previous agreement between the two sides expired a year and a half ago, according to Smallwood. A ratification vote will be held Wednesday.
