The RNC posted last night it had peacefully resolved the incident at Cowperthwaite Court in St. John's after a 45-year-old man was taken into custody and held for court on Saturday.

The RNC responded to an incident at Cowperthwaite Court in St. John's Friday evening. RNC officers, the police dog service and the RNC’s Tactics and Rescue Unit were at a standoff with a person inside one of the homes. Officers had a large area near one building cordoned off with police tape. An RNC tweet asked residents in the area to remain inside their homes and others to remain away from the area while the incident was ongoing.
