A serious accident at the intersection of the Robert E. Howlett Drive and Ruby Line closed a section of the highway Sunday afternoon.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary were on the scene of a two-car collision. One car caught fire after the collision. There's no word on the extent of the injuries at this time.
Sunday evening, the road was reopened.
RNC accident investigators are continuing to investigate.
