Updated: Heavy police presence in Quidi Vidi; high-angle rescue team responds


UDATED: Police and the St. John's Fire Department's high-angle rescue team responded to a situation near in Quidi Vidi, St. John's, Friday afternoon.

According to the RNC at the time, the matter was under control and there is no threat to the public.

Emergency responders were seen in the area until the early hours of Saturday morning.

The St. John's Fire Department confirmed in an early morning release that its high-angle rescue team had responded to the incident.

The Telegram spoke with RNC shortly after 11 a.m. Saturday morning and the only update available was that the matter was resolved. 

No other information is available at this time, but The Telegram will provide an update as new information becomes available.
