Four vehicles were seized by RCMP Traffic Services East following an enforcement effort in the Trinity-Conception area on Monday and Tuesday.
At 3 p.m. Monday, officers stopped a car on the Veterans Memorial Highway. The driver, a 37-year-old Clarke’s Beach man, was ticketed for driving without a licence and registration, and for using a false plate and false registration stickers. His vehicle was seized and impounded.
At 4:30 p.m. that day, the RCMP stopped a truck on Route 70 in Spaniard’s Bay. The driver, a 28-year-old Upper Island Cove woman, was ticketed for not wearing a seatbelt and for driving without insurance. Her vehicle was seized and impounded.
On Tuesday at noon, the RCMP stopped a car in Shearstown. The driver, a 29-year-old Makinsons man, was ticketed for driving without due care and attention, driving with an expired driver's licence, expired registration and without insurance. His vehicle was seized and impounded.
Later that afternoon, at 1:25 p.m., the RCMP stopped a car on the Veterans Memorial Highway. The driver, a 22-year-old Carbonear man, was ticketed for driving without insurance. His vehicle was seized and impounded.
