There were no serious injuries Wednesday night but two people were taken to hospital following a two-vehicle collision in St. John’s.
The collision occurred just after 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Torbay Road and Elizabeth Avenue and caused extensive damage to both vehicles. A pickup had a rear wheel and the cap torn from the vehicle and both were left lying on a median near the collision scene.
RNC officers detoured traffic around the area until a tow-truck arrived to remove the wrecks.
