Wind destroys house in Lark Harbour, damages others

Hurricane force winds destroyed a house in Lark Harbour and damaged many others Friday, the RCMP stated in a news release Friday night.

“Travel trailers as well as long-liners on dry dock have been blown over,” the RCMP stated. “Power lines have been blown down and the high winds are blowing large pieces of debris through the air.”

The RCMP advised people in the community to stay inside until the winds died down. They also asked that people not travel to the area, because it was not safe to do so.
