Woman, 20, charged with impaired driving following Topsail Road accident

CONCEPTION BAY SOUTH, N.L. — A 20-year-old woman was charged with impaired driving following a single-car motor vehicle accident on Topsail Road in Conception Bay South on Wednesday night.
The accident happened shortly after 10:40 p.m.
When the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) arrived, they discovered the women had been drinking and after testing her at the scene, took her to RNC headquarters for fadditional tests. She refused to take the breathalyzer and was charged with refusing to provide a breath sample.
This lead to automatic charges of impaired driving, had her license suspended and her car was impounded.
She was released to appear in court at a later date.
