Woman arrested for alleged theft at Paradise grocery store

PARADISE, N.L. — A 30-year-old woman was arrested at a Paradise grocery store Saturday morning after a report she was stealing items. The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary responded to the report of a theft in progress at the store around 11:30 a.m.
At the scene officers arrested the woman who has been charged with theft and breach of court orders. She also had several warrants for her arrest outstanding.
The woman spent the night at St. John’s City Lock Up and was to appear in court Sunday morning.
