St. John’s, N.L. — Shortly after 7 p.m. St. John’s firefighters responded to a fire call at a residence in the centre of the city. When they arrived, they put in a call to the RNC to assist firefighters in a potential fire investigation.

Although there was no fire found, a 22-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the incident. She was charged with assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and mischief for property damage.

The woman was held at the lockup for court this morning.
