One woman was taken to hospital Friday afternoon after she was struck by a car crossing Thorburn Road near the Avalon Mall.
Reports from the scene indicate the woman was running across four lanes of traffic and not on a crosswalk when she was struck by a car just before reaching the other side.
The woman’s injuries were not considered serious.
The car received damage to its front bumper and the front windshield.
The RNC is investigating.
