Man arrested for assault in Happy Valley-Goose Bay

A Natuashish man was arrested for allegedly assaulting a 23-year-old woman in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, according to the RCMP. The Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP said in a release that on March 24 at approximately 10 p.m. they received a report of an assault. 

Police attended the scene and arrested a 28-year-old man from Natuashish.  He was charged with assault and has been released from custody. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 27.

RCMP say the investigation is continuing.
