A vehicle-pedestrian collision sent one man to hospital Saturday night in St. John’s.
The incident happened just before 8 p.m. on Lemarchant Road near Shoppers Drug Mart.
An official on scene told the Telegram that it appeared the man was struck when he suddenly ran across the street.
The victim was conscious and speaking to first responders when the Telegram arrived on scene and it does not appear that his injuries are life-threatening.
The man was later ticketed for failing to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic.
The RNC is investigating.
