Bill Dobbs has been appointed the new CEO for Canada Fluorspar Inc effective immediately.

The company made the announcement in a press release issued a little afternoon on Friday.
Dobb’s who has been an active member of the company’s board since 2014 will take over for former CEO Lindsay Gorrill, who stepped down from the position.
The reasons for Gorrill’s decision to step down from the role were not provided in the release.
Dobbs holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a Bachelors in Political Science from UCLA.
“Bill’s familiarity with the fluorspar and other end markets served by CFI make him a phenomenal leader of the business as it fully transitions into its commercialization phase,” CFI Board of Directors chair Rajeev Amara, Chairman is quoted as saying in the release.
“Bill’s strong, results-driven approach will immediately create value and position CFI to ably meet the needs of its customers, team members and other key stakeholders in Newfoundland and Labrador,” he stated. “We appreciate Lindsay’s leadership of CFI in its start-up phase. We look forward to working with Bill as we continue to grow the business.”
Dobbs is noted as saying, “It is a privilege to join the talented CFI management team. I have known the company well as an active board member since 2014, and I am excited to help steer CFI into this next phase.”
