A muster was triggered on the Hebron offshore platform Thursday after reports of smoke in the living quarters.

An inspection determined there was no fire.

“There was a muster at Hebron, it was safely completed. The muster is over. All personnel are safe. Some workers are returning to their duties,” Lynn Evans, ExxonMobil public and government affairs adviser, responded by email to The Telegram Thursday evening.

Thursday morning, Hebron shut down production due to adverse weather conditions.

“We continue to follow adverse weather procedures for the Hebron platform. We are monitoring the weather offshore,” wrote Evans.

There are currently 213 people on the platform.
