St. John’s — Police are asking the public’s help in locating a number of valuable artwork pieces which were stolen from a home in the west end of the city.
The RNC received a report at about 9 p.m. Thursday, May 17, that the pieces had been taken in a break-in sometime between April 18 and May 17.
A full inventory list is still being compiled. However, investigators have confirmed the following pieces were stolen:
- an oil painting by Robert Wood (The Maine Coast)
- a Helen Parsons-Sheppard (Jug & Fruit on a Tray)
- a Jim Miller print, a Reginald Sheppard (Trinity)
- a Madonna in gold and platinum
- a Peter Lewis
- a Richard Steele
- a Clifford George (Caplin Run)
- a Christopher Pratt (6 cents)
- a Giralt Lerin (Ballerina)
- an Antoine Blanchard (Notre Dame, the bookstalls)
- a Davis Blackwood (Alice Lacey)
