STEPHENVILLE, N.L. — Two drivers with blood alcohol levels above the provincial limit were issued driving suspensions following patrols in Gallants and Stephenville by the Bay St. George RCMP.
In a prepared release, police said officers made a traffic stop about 10:40 p.m. Feb. 7 on a man attempting to get on a snowmobile in Gallants.
The driver, a 19-year-old Corner Brook man, provided a roadside breath test which police allege was above the provincial limit for alcohol but below criminal legislation. He was issued a seven-day driving suspension and his snowmobile was seized and impounded.
At about 4 a.m. on Feb. 9, officers conducted a traffic stop while patrolling on Main Street in Stephenville.
