The Botwood Mural Art Society is planning a new mural in 2020.

The society informed people on its Facebook page lucky mural No. 13 will focus on Botwood‘s war brides and the Great Britain women who settled in the town after marrying locals.

The society will collect photographs and other pieces of historical material as a way to help artists tell the story of this piece of town history.

The mural will be located on the building housing The Hair Shop.

To help it gather information, the mural society is requesting people with any family connection to war brides get in touch by the end of the month.
