CORNER BROOK, N.L. — The City of Corner Brook has reappointed Dean Porter to the Deer Lake Regional Airport Authority’s board of directors.
Porter, who is currently serving as chairperson, was selected for reappointment as the city’s nominee on the board during a public council meeting Feb. 10.
Porter’s current term on the board was set to expire Feb. 25.
The city determined it was important to have some continuity within the Airport Authority after the retirement of long-time chief executive officer Jamie Schwartz.
Porter’s renewed four-year term commences on the date of appointment.
Meanwhile, the airport has hired a new CEO. It was recently announced that Corner Brook's Tammy Priddle will be Schwartz's successor.
