CORNER BROOK, N.L. — It’s really official now: the City of Corner Brook will be buying the Mill Whistler street train.
During its Jan. 13 public meeting, city council passed a motion to purchase the train engine, three wagons and around $15,000 worth of spare parts at a total cost of $75,000, HST included.
Purchasing the train was one of the items highlighted in the city’s 2020 budget, passed during its public meeting Dec. 6.
City staff has now been authorized to execute the purchase and sale agreement with Murphy Sailing Tours Limited.
