CORNER BROOK, N.L. — The City of Corner Brook will be repossessing an industrial property on Lundrigan Drive.
City council passed a motion to take back 51 Lundrigan Dr. during its public meeting Jan. 13.
Mayor Jim Parsons told The Western Star the terms of the purchase and sale agreement had not been met and, per the terms of that agreement, the city maintained the right to take the land back.
“It wasn’t developed to a sufficient extent, as laid out in the purchase and sale agreement,” he explained.
Parsons said the private entity that had purchased the land was given multiple extensions, but conditions were not met within the agreed upon period of time.
The land is zoned for industrial development.
