Shipwrecked rounding Cape Horn in 1886, sailor Bill Downer of Fogo Island eventually returned home, married and carried his family to his sheep ranch in Patagonia. His descendants returned last summer to see the land of their ancestors. Their distant relatives, Dr. Don Downer, Elizabeth Scammell Reynolds and David Quinton will tell the tale of The Patagonian Invasion.

Guided Forest Bathing Walk
Rekindle your relationship with nature this Valentine's! Forest bathing is a great way to decrease stress and anxiety, boost your immune system, reduce blood pressure and stress, increase creativity and focus, reconnect with nature, and so much more! Come and see what medicine the forest holds for you. This Saturday, Feb. 16, we will slow down, awaken our senses, and help restore our relationship to both our self and nature. Our walk will end with a tea ceremony featuring tea from locally foraged plants. When we depart, we'll have a new appreciation for our Boreal woodlands, and a practice we can readily apply in our daily lives. Notes: Please dress warm, preferably in layers – snow pants may be a good choice (this is not a hike – as such we will not generate much body heat).
