Eastern Health continues to offer influenza vaccination clinics

Eastern Health reminds the public that flu season has arrived. Cases of the flu are on the rise, with increased numbers of cases being reported in children.

Eastern Health encourages anyone six months of age or older to be vaccinated, especially those who are at increased risk for complications from influenza, and those capable of transmitting influenza to individuals at high-risk.

Walk-in immunization clinics will be offered in Come by Chance and Paradise on Wednesday, Jan. 16, in Clarenville on Thursday, Jan. 17 and in St. John’s on Tuesday, Jan. 22.

Eastern Health reminds the public that it is more important than ever to protect yourself and those you care for by getting vaccinated. The flu vaccine provides protection against several strains of influenza including H1N1.
