First container shipment of paper leaves Corner Brook

The MSC container ship Don Giovanni left the Port of Corner Brook on Friday morning with 250 containers of paper from Corner Brook Pulp and Paper Limited destined for international markets. The export shipment is the first one for the new container service at the port. Capt. Calv Swift of York Harbour piloted the vessel out of the port and stayed with it until it got somewhere between Benoit’s Cove and Frenchman’s Cove. - Contributed by Capt. Calv Swift
