BAY ROBERTS, N.L. — The Town of Bay Roberts took some time during its most recent council meeting to acknowledge the many contributions of a founding member of its Heritage Advisory Committee.

Eric Jerrett recently informed the town he was resigning from the committee after 15 years. Mayor Philip Wood presented Jerrett with a certificate of appreciation for his work.

Jerrett, who remains chairman of the Bay Roberts Heritage Society, said he felt the group was in good hands and decided at his age one less time commitment wouldn’t be such a bad thing.
